Re: How to contact a reviewer?

... only implication of it not being a challenge cache is that you can't delete logs for people not completing the component parts. In other words, if someone somehow signed the final log for the TMP Final without finding the individual TMP caches that have the clues, you would have to let the find ...

Re: Typo got me banned. Someone please help me.

I believe you, it looks like just a typo / mental slip of the keyboard. But I think you're dead in the water on your bannination. Even if they believe your explanation, they've still got you dead to rights on working around the cursing filters. And if you've been warned before, they're not going to ...

Re: Do you think Opencaching is actually bad for Groundspeak

The major problem I foresee is two containers at one location. The more I chew on that, the less I think of it as a real problem. So someone finds the wrong container and logs it on the wrong site. No big deal. I worry a little more about thing like permissioning in hard-to-access places. ...

Re: If you had a week to do geocaching....

... The only one I know of offhand who operates in the NYC area prefers to keep letterboxing under the radar, so I'll have to see if I can figure out someone who is more warm to publicity.

Washington APE Cache archived

... a goal, commemorative coins are available for people who have done all three, etc. It's a quirky piece of geocaching history. Apparently... someone has had it in for the Mission 9 cache for a while, or perhaps for the cache owner - a longtime geocacher with the username Moun10Bike (who, ...

Re: Summer on the Hudson

Though it sounds fishy, we can't be sure until someone checks the logs. It is very possible he/she found 26 caches in one day (or maybe just logged all in one day). While technically true, and I normally wouldn't bother to mention it, it's a little ...

Re: Challenges - Thoughts?

... might be "Statues of Dogs". Then you go to Balto in Central Park and take a reading, and post those coordinates along with your find. Someone else goes to some other statue of a dog, I dunno, a statue of Snoopy in California, and posts *those* coordinates along with her find. And so ...

Re: Challenges - Thoughts?

... and it's already the second-most voted thing in the history of the site. By the end of the day today it will likely be number one. That's amazing. Someone yesterday posted a topic to alternatively get rid of challenges or move them to another site (ala waymarking I suppose) and it got over 1000 ...

Re: Cache Ninja cache

That rocks Marilyn! Wonderful! Great job! Is there any way for NY Admin to unarchive it without Cache Ninja contacting him/her? (Or maybe someone can convince Cache Ninja to do so?) I think that's dead in the water. It would be very out of character for groundspeak to unarchive a cache that ...

Re: Finds in New York County

... I think when the OP in the other forums pulled the cache up on his handheld, he was greeted by the waypoint number, the cache name, and someone yelling about ALL-CAPS CHILDREN!!!!!!! I can't rule out the possibility that the CO in question is a kid himself.

Re: 2010 Metro GC Award Nominees!

We were so surprised to receive the news that our Red Hook series was a 2011 Nominee for Best Series. We are honored: THANK YOU. As someone else said so eloquently: all cachers are winners! :geek:   ANNARCHY in Red Hook

Geocaching on OPB

... of interest to some of you. I love caching when I visit out there and it's definitely worth the trip to go visit the first ever geocache location. Someone in the segment takes you to the memorial plaque which is cool. Enjoy: http://www.opb.org/programs/ofg/segments/view/1737

Re: Publishing multiple geocaches

... One at a time or all four. Since you are submitting them at the same time will GC reserve the coords for you? Do you run a risk by waiting that someone else might black out a location by publishing a nearby cache in the midst of the roll out - We once published a series of three (common theme) ...

Re: Puzzle cache craze
