Re: Puzzles Anyone?

I'm not sure I have quite enough experience with geocaching puzzles to have a favorite type yet... But I can say that in general, I really enjoy meta-puzzles (where the pieces fit together to form a whole). The old Cliff Johnson games for the Mac ...

Just a quick update... Without any advertising beyond this thread, we've taken pre-orders for 27 coins so far. We need just over 200 to fully pay for the mint run, but I'm guessing we'll be comfortable enough to send the order even if we fall a little short of that. (One important piece of informati...

... to given GPS coordinates. This is very true. Coordinates, an exact reference point, etc.. they never seem to be the same on every visit. I use the geocaching plugin for Google Earth, and many times I get the same cache shown at two locations. Google Earth is fun, a great extra tool, informative ...

Re: August 22- Proto-Picnic (GC1TWM8)

... above, log 2 caches, then the event, etc.). This is exactly right. For caches logged on the same date, GSAK, Brainzane & Yossface's site and others use the order in which the caches were logged to break date ties. So you're spot-on - if you're at 399 entering Saturday, ...

It appears that they're potentially organizing two big outings, one Wednesday and one Thursday? It's probably good that they can't film in Central Park, actually... I am generally hesitant to rub the CPC's nose in the caching activity there. Something in Riverside Park, Morningside Park or Inwood Hi...

Calling all puzzlers!

Wanted to let folks know about an event in NYC on April 30th called DASH. It's not specifically geocaching-related, but for those who like geo-puzzles I think it will be a lot of fun. And I think there will be a fair number of nearby geocachers in attendance... It's a puzzle ...
