Re: I just HATE.....

Offset caches listed as multi-caches. If I have to do more than put the co-ords for the next stage in or i'll even go as far to say replace one letter with one number from the plaque or address; it is a puzzle cache as I have to solve something.

Re: Bridges, "Rock and Roll" (GC19FHX), "Handy Relief" (GC19NF1)

when it comes to rating caches, as with anything caching related, it's a two way street. i've placed caches which i thought were only one star caches and i got told that a one star cache was supposed to be handicap accessible. so with that said, i had to reevaluate my caches and bump the ones not AD...

Child Waypoints

So as I am traveling the northeast right now and caching along the way, I've been thinking about child waypoints. I don't really know where I'm at sometimes and I always say, "Hmm... a child waypoint would be great right now." This realization came mainly after my recent trip to DC where I...

Re: GeoJamboree 6 in CT (GC18ER1)

Well, as per usual, I now have a job that overlaps with this event so I will not be able to attend. But before I cancel my reservation I wanted to see if anyone here wants it and I will figure out how to get it transfered to you.

Re: Ammo Box?

Is there a demand for ammo boxes? If there is I can possibly get some and bring them to the Staten Island Picnic or to the CITO in Queens.

Re: Child Waypoints

Child Waypoints, or Additional Waypoints, are waypoints that are added to a cache page as stages of a multi-cache, reference points, trail heads, and parking areas. I've used them personally on a cache i've placed in CT, GC1927P, to identify where people should park as well as what trails to take to...

Re: Child Waypoints

true, we could make a POI file or something for the subway system. my problem in DC was that I walked like 3 miles and was like, "crap, how do i get to the metro station?" i've had similar experiences in boston but it's less dense there and i'm more familiar with the "city" so fi...

Re: Spring Meet and Greet

i don't see anything on the gc.com page that prohibits bar events. the worst thing that'll happen is your listing will be denied.

Re: Westchester County April Event

Not to rain on the parade or anything, but just remember that if you want to create an event you need to have it published two weeks before the day of the event. So if you want to do this you need to find a spot and submit it like yesterday.

Re: Aug 7-9 Midwest Geobash

i would love to go, but traveling out to the site would be an issue for me. And Foxx, there are people looking at having a Westchester event. If you want to speed up the process and throw one by all means feel free to. Just make sure you post the location, the date, and the time. I'd also suggest ch...

Re: Staten Island Event planning for 05/03/08

So we have a permit, we have people going, and we have dessert. So far so good. I'm not sure if there are BBQ pits there or not and I sent an email out to the owner of the one cache that is actually in the park to see if they knew if there were or not. Sadly I've been out of state on business and wi...
