Re: Summer on the Hudson

... I guess. They could have been found over the course of many different trips and erroneously logged all at once with the same Found It date or something. Buuuuut... I'm a teensy bit skeptical.

Re: Challenges - Thoughts?

... Have you noticed that dates for cache logs don't show up anymore? When I look at the logs for Snug as a Bug, now instead of 4/15/2011 it says something like "about four months ago". Why? I can only imagine because that's how Twitter and Facebook do it? And so... what the heck?

Re: Challenges - Thoughts?

By the way, since it's deleted now, what was Jeremy's reply? The posted topic was something like "Get rid of challenges, they're not geocaching, or at least move them to another site - thanks". Jeremy's reply was "They're staying on gc.com. If you ...

Re: Great cache idea, ready to do it, need location...

... size caches. I've just about given up trying to do that in the Astoria/LIC area. Referring to the cemetery cache thread, maybe you could get something into St Michael's with the manager's approval. Also, back in the dim ages when I started to cache (2004) there were many regular size caches ...

Re: New Wherigo Cache in Central Park

Just noticed something: On the cache page on wherigo.com, underneath the download button, it says "Price: Free". That would appear to imply that they will begin to charge money for downloading wherigos at some point, or ...

Re: Check you cache logs

We are not actively monitoring our caches for bogus logs - if, in the future, something strikes as off we might investigate it and delete the logs. We haven't deleted any yet. In fact I noticed one cacher who was logging caches including some which were known to ...

Re: DNFs

... month but has now droppped to none. That being said - no one (including us) likes to waste time looking for a cache that is missing - but there is something extra satisfying in finding a cache which has gone unfound for many months (or longer) or one that has had some DNFs. But, yes ... logging ...
