Re: 2nd Oldest NYC Cache about to go

... to rest seems to indicate that your thread was actually just letting us know the status of the cache and not some sort of call to action to do something about it, or was it? Yeah, I think you read it right. It seems like this cache is ready to go to cache heaven. I'll pour out a 40 in memory.

Re: The War of Light is on!

... In this particular case I was close to zero percent to get any FTFs on the series regardless, because my days of rushing to get the car out for something "off the island" are pretty much behind me. If it had been me, I'd've published them a few days apart. Not out of "fairness", ...

No, we're not going to stop publishing puzzle caches. No, we're not going to make the ones we publish any easier. And that seminar ...

Re: The Congratulations Thread

Ha, thanks... I was reading about how someone stole the lid to the cache a couple of weeks ago and that the CO had said something along the lines of "well, it had a good run". Got me thinking that if I didn't get it soon, I'd have to trek through the jungles of Brazil for an APE cache!

How to get a Manhattan PQ

... for this route and download the results. Great idea. I haven't learned how to create custom routes in this context, but it would be awesome to see something similar for the other boroughs as well. Then we could maintain a sticky post with links for anyone who wants a PQ to capture whichever of ...

Re: CBS Geocaching Interview - Need Volunteer(s)!!

... It's probably good that they can't film in Central Park, actually... I am generally hesitant to rub the CPC's nose in the caching activity there. Something in Riverside Park, Morningside Park or Inwood Hill / Fort Tryon might work well. Gerk's Lantern caches on Ward's Island might not be a bad ...

In a way I think the way this guy is logging ...

Metro NY Calendar

... we do these calendars I think pricing in an extra few dollars so that (say) John doesn't have to shell money out of pocket the next time he buys something the group needs would be a worthwhile goal. Doing it through a company like Zazzle is nice because (unlike the coins) we don't have to order ...
