Re: On Location NYC - A new geocache series in NYC

... container. It was not a problem I anticipated; I think my jaw literally dropped (as opposed to figuratively) when I realized that the hiding spot would not accommodate my cache. I'm going to have to regroup and figure something else out.

Not Signing the Logbook

... interesting email today. It was a little difficult to understand because although it was in English, it was written by a native French speaker. I would like to add that he did a far better job of writing in English than I ever would have in French. Nevertheless, it's required some deduction. Here's ...

Re: Container suggestions

Maybe a bison tube would cut down on the maintenance... You'd have to give up any dreams of trading even extremely small items with a bison tube, but the gas savings alone from not having to drive out to the coords for repairs so often would probably make it a worthwhile replacement container.

Re: Geocache TV show

... but presumably there is at least *some* vetting going on. It hasn't aired on any of the channels I get in the last several months or my TiVo would have picked it up, and I couldn't figure out from their web site how to order it so I don't know if it's available on DVD or not. I found a link ...

Re: Fear Archived

Actually, if someone wanted to adopt it, I think the admins would be willing to unarchive the cache, isn't that the usual policy (that a cache archived by the admin can be unarchived if you ask?). I don't know what the usual policy is, but I tried this ...

Re: FTF Etiquette

... of other local hounds, and the CO. But alas, the cache was held up by the reviewer on a technicality. Dammit! At the time I wasn't thinking that I would claim it as an FTF, I just thought I would claim it as a funny story. But maybe it would have been an FTF. Nope. First to sign the log is FTF. ...

Re: Caching Peeves

Here's something that I would have thought would annoy me, but it doesn't. One of my caches gets a new Found It from the same geocaching login every few months. I wouldn't do that, and my initial gut reaction to seeing it on one of my ...

Re: Geocaching (specifically urban caching) on L&O SVU

... out to enjoy the game. Firstly, uggggghhhhh. I agree. Ugh. I admit the hider has a very "funny" caching name, but not one I think gc.com would allow. Re: Coyote in Central Park

Wow! This stuff is amazing Gerk!

How the heck did a coyote manage to make it to Central Park? At least with birds I can picture the mechanism. But I can't even figure out how a coyote would make it on the island. My buddy figures someone was raising it in his apartment and let it go...

Re: Geolitter

Interesting situation... I guess what I'd do is retrieve the final and drop the CO an email that you have the archived container and see if he would like you to dispose of it for him. There's always a chance that the cache has been cross-listed on another site - probably not, but you never know. ...

Photos Wanted!

PS - If you have stuff you think would be useful, please send sooner rather than later... the quicker we have the photos the more likely we can get the calendar finished by the holidays.

Re: Do you think Opencaching is actually bad for Groundspeak

Speaking of geocaching competitors, why would a hider list a cache on, say, terracaching? Or navicaching? Or whatever? Is there some advantage of using an alternate site. I'll be mixing NC and TC a bit here. When the services first popped up, ...
