Re: August 22- Proto-Picnic (GC1TWM8)

... is exactly right. For caches logged on the same date, GSAK, Brainzane & Yossface's site mygeocachingprofile.com and others use the order in which the caches were logged to break date ties. So you're spot-on - if you're at 399 entering Saturday, log Proto-Picnic first. If you're at 397, log ...

Moral: Don't Lie to the Reviewer

... new coords, but didn't actually move the cache. The reported coords were of course basically the same as the originally published coords, which unsurprisingly ticked OReviewer off. Don't lie folks.

Re: Custom NYC Attribute Icons?

Brett! I made that one JUST for you! It is a "Near Bridges and Arches" attribute, which would conceivably link to a bookmark list of such caches. Ha! I love it! You managed to get the idea from most of them. My concept is that the red ones would be warnings... ...

Re: Staten Island

... so maybe she would know the scoop. Overall I agree that especially if groundspeak endorses PUC #13, it is a little confusing sometimes about which caches are considered appropriate / dangerous / etc.? As a side note, I was pretty bummed when Fear got archived. It was on my list.

One thing that might be changing is how the requirement is described. The way that TPTB used to phrase it was that caches had ...

Re: I broke my poor 60CSx

of course, the 60csx features the legendary SiRFstarIII gps hardware whereas with the more recent devices you are going with the MTK 3318 which, if you believe the gpspassion blogs is plagued with accuracy issues... That is very interesting... I had heard anecdotal reports from a few folks ...

Numbers in SF

... logs... Three finders ago, the cacher was logging his 2368th day in a row with a find. That's six and a half years of caching every single day! Which is impressive enough, but then four finders earlier was a team logging find number 37,000-and-something. Holy cannoli.

Re: A nice 100th Cache

I'm certainly not going to argue with a plug for B&A (thanks CoA!)... Another option might be Sleepy Hollow (GCAE), which was the first cache ever placed in the Metro NY area, back in November 2000. It looks like it's only about 10 miles from the starting point of your James Bond ...
