Re: On Location NYC - A new geocache series in NYC

There's a Men in Black cache and at least one Spiderman cache. But there could be many more from those movies, and of course one of the Law & Order shows is shooting on the streets almost every day. Actually I think those two are part of the same multi as the "All ...

Re: New iPhone and Geocaching

... software solutions, Apple is able to do an end-around on the hardware limitations. I certainly hope that I am wrong. But my gut reaction is that those of us used to Garmins, especially high-end Garmins, may be disappointed with the accuracy of iPhone's first generation GPS. All that said, I'm ...

Conflicts with Hidden Stages

... the post. (Details of the following story are intentionally being kept somewhat vague, to protect the integrity of some hidden cache stages. If those of you "in the know" could do the same thing, that would be cool.) In brief, a short while ago a (relatively) new cacher listed a cache ...

Graveyard Caches

... this sixth one was retracted because it was a cemetery cache or if that's coincidental and it was actually retracted for a different reason. (For those unfamiliar, a retraction is like an archival except that it's as if the cache never existed - you can't pull up the cache page any more, you can't ...

Bookmark Lists - One Man's Manual

... So for these caches I only have the first checkbox clicked: bookmark2.jpg I figure for the other 1% who might actually care, I can put a link to those lists in my profile and make them available for folks to click through if they're interested (and in fact, this is what I've done): bookmark6.jpg ...

Re: Bookmark Lists - One Man's Manual

Dude thanks for the post. It was very unclear when I made my NY DeLorme challenge bookmark list what those option are. Question though. If I decided that I wanted to change the setting of a preexisting bookmark list, Is it an easy change or do I have to recreate it from scratch ...

Re: Cache Placement Etiquette

... supported by groundspeak. Overall it was a resource hog, and because of it's general suckiness apparently only 200 people were actually using it. Those two things don't make for a good combination. So, no more network .kml - RIP.

Re: Custom NYC Attribute Icons?

... at night. Some of these probably need to be linked in to bookmarks lists, B&A, tourist attractions, quickies, lunch hour caches... so along those lines I can also do icons for our various series, JLA, On Location, Yankees, etc. if the CO's want them. That's a cool idea! The only issue would ...

Re: GSAK gpx file & colorado

I'm wondering if the coordinates are getting overwritten on the basis of the Waypoint Code... When you edit the waypoint in GSAK to include the final coordinates, can you also edit the Waypoint code? For example, if it's GC12345 can you change it to GC12345f or something along those lines?

"Meet Someone New" is gone :(

... too bad, it was a neat idea. I'm not even sure how many people here in New York knew about it, since the initial waypoint is listed in LA.
