Re: July - GC 101 / 201

How did it go from $250 to $5500? What is it about what we need that jacks it up so much from the default day rate? I'm wondering if there is a misunderstanding on their part or something and they think we are planning something crazy.

Re: old cache still alive!

... being archived, and that being "locked" is an extra step that groundspeak only occasionally takes (perhaps when they're ticked about something). I just went in to log a cache which has been archived since 2003, and didn't have any problems.

Re: Here is why I love geocaching....

... like an amazing experience... My caching bug is schizophrenic, similar to Tatanka's. The first part of it is almost like being OCD! If I know that something nearby is hidden (especially if there is a puzzle involved), it just... bothers me that it's somewhere out there, and I don't know where it ...

Re: Caching Peeves

Here's something that I would have thought would annoy me, but it doesn't. One of my caches gets a new Found It from the same geocaching login every few months. I wouldn't do that, and my initial gut reaction to seeing it on ...

NYGO disbands

I noticed today that the New York Geocaching Organization has disbanded; I went to the web site to look for some information on something I'm researching and saw a farewell notice. Here it is in its entirety: NYGOLogo.gif NYGO Final Update The New York Geocaching Organization (NYGO) was ...

Re: GSAK gpx file & colorado

I'm wondering if the coordinates are getting overwritten on the basis of the Waypoint Code... When you edit the waypoint in GSAK to include the final coordinates, can you also edit the Waypoint code? For example, if it's GC12345 can you change it to GC12345f or something along those lines?

Most interesting (to me)... Wheretogo? Vertigo I was paging through the photos for this one and I my first thought ...

I broke my poor 60CSx

So while in Texas I dropped my 60CSx as I was getting out of the car, and it fell two or three feet to the pavement. I've done something similar a bunch of times before, but this time my little unit wasn't able to shrug it off. It seems to have lost the ability to read the memory card, ...
