Re: On Location NYC - A new geocache series in NYC

... dropped (as opposed to figuratively) when I realized that the hiding spot would not accommodate my cache. I'm going to have to regroup and figure something else out.

Re: It's not about the numbers

I might be doing something wrong, but I clicked through to World66 and it looked like a travel guide / review site?

Re: Bridges, "Rock and Roll" (GC19FHX), "Handy Relief" (GC19NF1)

Any ideas? Same advice I'd give anyone about something that happened on the Internet six weeks ago I guess... Decide how upset you want to be about it and go from there. If your stones are so burned that it's strongly motivating you a month and ...

Re: Child Waypoints

Re: July - GC 101 / 201

How did it go from $250 to $5500? What is it about what we need that jacks it up so much from the default day rate? I'm wondering if there is a misunderstanding on their part or something and they think we are planning something crazy.

Re: old cache still alive!

... being archived, and that being "locked" is an extra step that groundspeak only occasionally takes (perhaps when they're ticked about something). I just went in to log a cache which has been archived since 2003, and didn't have any problems.

Re: It must not be about the numbers...

You may be on to something. Both finders were on Adak doing UXO work - disposing of unexploded ordinance left over from WWII. I don't think they found the cache by accident - I think it was more like what you were describing with ...

Re: Here is why I love geocaching....

... like an amazing experience... My caching bug is schizophrenic, similar to Tatanka's. The first part of it is almost like being OCD! If I know that something nearby is hidden (especially if there is a puzzle involved), it just... bothers me that it's somewhere out there, and I don't know where it ...
