Wear comfortable ...

Interested in finding an "unpublished" cache?

... to find out if what I think is a clever hide is actually quite mundane? The hint was: "How high is your reach?" It's a little wet around the GZ but the cache isn't in any water or submerged. It must be very frustrating to create a great hide and have it rejected. It is for me.

Re: GPSr and Software Help

... icons without, at the same time, getting rid of the geocache waypoints I've loaded and am trying to track down. It's killing me. I have monkeyed around with the "Custom Points of Interest" waypoints (added advantage of being able to save them to the memory card = no 999 limit), but ...

Re: I just HATE.....

... brother had designed a treasure hunt for the kids and that one of the clues in the area behind the benches, and so not to mind us as we poked around. Re: Central Park asks for Geocache Removal

... of Central Park became part of an area the Central Park Conservancy was trying to repair, suggesting from hundreds of miles away that people go around the fence and subvert the environmental measures. I didn't realize the same CO was why we got booted from Strawberry Fields. That is really frustrating. ...

Re: New iPhone and Geocaching

... And it could also be that by augmenting traditional GPS with cell tower triangulation and other software solutions, Apple is able to do an end-around on the hardware limitations. I certainly hope that I am wrong. But my gut reaction is that those of us used to Garmins, especially high-end Garmins, ...

Re: old cache still alive!

Maybe "seE Y0u" is locked like this because it is available on TC? I think it's the other way around... Because groundspeak locked "seE YOu", splicingdan subsequently listed it on TC. At least, that's the way the logs and forum history seem to read. But ...

Re: It must not be about the numbers...

... I can't totally rule out accidental discovery either - if you're looking for WWII munitions, old WWII bunkers are logical places to be poking around. Although "poking around" probably isn't the safest way to do that job, but you know what I mean :)

Conflicts with Hidden Stages

... cacher listed a cache in an area that conflicted with a hidden stage for one of New York's many puzzle and/or multi caches. By my count there are around 50 hidden physical stages on the island of Manhattan alone, so it's not unusual to bump up against one. Now I know that historically speaking, ...
